Chelsea FC has officially announced the departure of four players as their contracts come to an end at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season. The club confirmed that these players will leave when their current contracts expire on June 30. Among those departing is defender Brodi Hughes, who has been with Chelsea for 13 years, joining the Academy as an Under-8 and progressing through the ranks at Cobham. He spent the last season on loan at League One club AFC Wimbledon. Another notable departure is Richard Olise, who has spent a decade with the club after being signed as an Under-9. He made appearances throughout the Academy and was included in the first-team squad for the UEFA Conference League trip to Astana during the 2024/25 season.
Midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi is also set to leave Chelsea FC this summer. Rak-Sakyi joined the Academy at the age of eight and made four first-team appearances, including a debut in the UEFA Conference League against Noah. His contributions to the club's youth setup and first team have been significant. Additionally, Jimi Tauriainen, who joined Chelsea in 2020, will depart. The Finnish youth international was named among the substitutes for the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool in 2024 and made his Premier League debut later that season against Tottenham Hotspur.
In contrast, striker Ronnie Stutter will transition to a month-to-month contract with Chelsea FC. The club expresses gratitude to all departing players for their contributions during their time with the Blues and wishes them success in their future endeavors.
