Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Denner Alves Evangelista Pereira from Corinthians. The 18-year-old left-back has joined the club's U21 squad, known as Cobham Next Gen, after a transfer agreement was first reached in February 2025.
The transfer fee is reported to be in the region of €8-10 million, with potential add-ons taking the total to an additional €4 million. Corinthians are also said to have secured a sell-on clause for any future transfer. The deal was structured as a future transfer, only becoming official once the player turned 18 to comply with FIFA regulations on international moves for minors. Denner's path to Chelsea has been interrupted by injury. He initially impressed with Corinthians' U20 side as a 16-year-old but suffered a serious meniscus injury in his right knee. That setback kept him out of action for the past twelve months. According to Brazilian outlet Globo, much of his rehabilitation was already conducted at Chelsea's Cobham training ground under the club's supervision. His integration into the setup has therefore begun ahead of his formal registration.
The young defender will initially link up with the development squad as he builds match fitness and adapts to English football. Chelsea's academy has a strong recent record of integrating talent, with several players making the step up to first-team training.
