Mudryk's Return to Chelsea FC
Chelsea FC manager Xabi Alonso has expressed his happiness at welcoming Mykhailo Mudryk back into the squad, but has cautioned that it will take time for the Ukrainian winger to regain his fitness and form.
Mudryk, 25, has not played a match since November 2024 after being provisionally suspended for returning an "adverse finding" for the banned substance meldonium. He has been training on his own every day, hiring his own private coach and goalkeepers, and conducting training sessions at non-league side Uxbridge.

Mudryk has been out of action for over a year, and Alonso has acknowledged that it will take time for him to regain his fitness and form. "It's too early to tell how he is in terms of fitness, in terms of the game time you need to be involved again, so it's still too early to tell," Alonso said.
