[Chelsea] are set to sign versatile attacker [Giulia Dragoni], who spent last season on loan to Serie A side Roma from the Spanish champions. The 19-year-old made 29 appearances for Roma. She scored eight goals and provided four assists over their joint spell in the league.

Following the expiration of her transfer, Dragoni was expected to join Chelsea club [as they prepare to enter a crucial season]. Chelsea had failed to win championship following Manchester City's triumph last term.

After joining Barcelona [from Inter] in 2023, Dragoni made ten appearances scoring one goal. In June 2024, [she signed a three-year contract extension with Barcelona], but was sent on her first loan spell to Roma, where she scored four goals and provided another assist across the team's 27 attempts.

After the World Cup in which she represented Italy as an underage player, Dragoni won the [Italian national championship] in 2024. She also claimed the Italian Golden Girl award (Best Player of Under-21 Age Group).

To bolster Chelsea’s forward line and midfield options ahead of a crucial season for her side to regain the title, Dragons's join will add value from being an eight-time Women’s Super League (WSL) champions.
